Summer mini wallets

Después de cortar, planchar, coser, rematar y remachar ya están listos unos cuantos mini wallets, de estampados muy veraniegos. Ahora apetecen estos colores, alegres y divertidos, ¿no os parece?

I love summer

Sin duda, el verano es mi estación favorita. Puede que haga calor, sí, pero es que me gusta el calorcito. Quizá no los 40 grados permanentes, pero soporto mejor el calor que el frío. Vamos, que si me das a elegir entre los 30 o los 15 grados me quedo con lo primero.
Esta estación me da energía. El sol anima, pone de buen humor.

I love summer! It is my favorite season. I know it is hot, yes, but still, I love warm temperatures. Maybe not when they reach 40 degrees, but if I need to choose between 30 or 15 I would take the first one, no doubt at all.

Motha

Desde fuera, un par de grandes ventanales y una pizarra con el menú Let's Picnic que te invita a pasar. Al entrar te recibe Silvana, que te mima y está pendiente de todo, siempre con una sonrisa en la cara.


Para ir calmando la sed, en estos días tan calurosos que tenemos en Madrid, una deliciosa limonada casera, con un toque de lemongrass y hierbabuena. Te beberás más de una, ¡te lo aseguro! Cuando he querido hacerle una foto ya la habíamos vaciado ;)

¡Seguimos! Entre sorbito y sorbito tendrás problemas para elegir qué quieres comer, porque todo tiene una pinta estupenda (pero esto se soluciona fácilmente, se vuelve a ir y ¡listo!). Una vez superadas las dudas y elegido el menú... a deleitarse con unos platos de lujo, desde el entrante hasta el postre, que se nota están elaborados como en casa y con mucho amor.


Para que se os haga la boca agua, yo he tomado hoy una ensalada de higos y gorgonzola (deliciosa), un sandwich abierto de pollo y emmental (de 10), y de postre una magdalena rellena de toffee, recién hecha, estaba calentita aún (pecado mortal). En fín, para qué decir más. Lo mejor es que lo probéis. No defrauda.

Y ¿qué sitio es éste? Pues es Motha, un restaurante café muy, muy acogedor y donde se come de maravilla. Está en el Barrio de las Letras, en la Calle de Santa María 39. Yo lo tengo ya en mi lista de favoritos y repetiré, ¡vaya que lo haré!

From the outside, a couple of big windows and a board showing the Let's Picnic menu, which invites you to go inside. Once there, Silvana will say hello and treat you as you were at home, always with a smile in her face.


During these hot days, the best thing to start with is a homemade lemonade, with a touch of lemongrass and mint. You will have more than one, I can tell you! When I tooked the picture it was already empty ;)


Let's continue with the tour. While enjoying your drink you will have some troubles to decide about the menu, as everything looks so good! Once decided, prepare yourself to enjoy a delicious meal, from the starter till the dessert. Homemade with love, you can feel it.

Color palettes

Para los que, como yo, no tenemos Photoshop, el descubrimiento de PicMonkey ha sido todo un acontecimiento.
Y aquí estoy, como un niño con un regalo recién abierto, jugando con las diferentes funciones. Seguramente no es tan completo, ni de lejos, como otros editores más profesionales, pero da mucho de sí y se pueden hacer muchas cosas.


Juntando todo esto con mi pasión por los colores, me he pasado un buen rato creando paletas de colores. Os dejo algunas que he hecho con las bandoleras de loneta.

For the ones, like me, who do not have a version of Photoshop in their computers, finding PicMonkey has been a fantastic discovery.
So, here I am, like a child with a new toy, playing with the different functionality. For sure, it does not have as many options as some other professional editors, but it has many possibilities and you can do a lot working with your images.


Putting all the above together with my passion about colors I have spent a nice time creating color palettes. Here you have some of them.

Special guests

Aunque el título del post pueda despistar, no, no tengo visitas en casa. Pero sí he tenido unos invitados especiales en la última sesión de fotos.
Tenía pendiente hacerle fotos a este joyero de viaje. Y qué mejor atrezzo que unas piezas de otros diseñadores. Cositas que he ido comprando en Artesanio. Un anillo Fruncido de Vacía la nevera y un anillo de aluminio de Osmit. Quedan preciosos, ¿no os parece?.

Do not get confused by the title of this post. No, I have no visitors at home. But I did have some special guests for the last photo session.
I had to take some pictures of the last travel jewelry roll I've made. And I thought it would be a good idea to use some creations from other designers as atrezzo. Pieces that I have bought in Artesanio. A silver ring from Vacía la nevera and another one made of aluminium from Osmit. They look beautiful, don't you think so?

Relaxing days

Así han sido los últimos días. Desconexión total y relax. De vez en cuando no viene mal perderse por un tiempo, sin acceso a internet, sin posibilidad de que el ordenador te tiente a navegar durante un rato. Días para disfrutar del tiempo, dar paseos, leer, jugar a algún juego de mesa, charlar, incluso a veces no hacer nada, que también es un placer.


The last few days have been relaxing and quiet. From time to time is good to have no connection to internet, no possibilities to be tempted by the computer to surf in the internet world. Days to enjoy your time, walk, read, play, talk and, do nothing in some moments, which is also a pleasure.

La pena ha sido ver el monte arder, una vez más. Es triste, se te cae el alma a los pies. Las Hurdes tiene (me niego a decir tenía) unos paisajes preciosos, que solían estar plagados de árboles. Pinos, alcornoques, encinas, junto con jaras y retamas. Un paisaje increíble que unos pocos se empeñan en destrozar año tras año. Es algo que no me entra en la cabeza. Por suerte, esta vez el incendio pudo ser controlado en el mismo día. Esperemos que no haya más. ¡No es justo!

Unfortunately we've seen again the same scenario as last years, the mountain was on fire. It is sad, very sad. Las Hurdes (in Cáceres, Extremadura) is a very nice area, with wonderful landscapes. They used to be full of trees. Pine trees, oaks, together with rockroses and brooms. A fantastic environment which a few try to destroy year after year. Something which I cannot understand. Luckily, this time the fire was under control on the same day. I hope this will be the last one. Please!
