Banana split 2.0

This is my version of the famous Banana split, a very different version. I do not remember when was the first time I prepared this dessert. It was some years ago already and I keep repeating it from time to time. It is a perfect recipe to get rid of those bananas that nobody at home wants to eat because they are already a bit brownish and ugly. In those cases you have two choices, either you throw them away (which is a pity) or you conceal these bananas with some other ingredients. This final option is what I am usually doing and so far nobody noticed it ;-)

Let's go with the recipe...

Ingredients (per person):
- 1 banana
- 1 spoonful of raisins
- 1 spoonful of brown sugar
- puff pastry
- yolk
- vanilla ice cream
- whipped cream
- caramel syrup

Preparation:
Cut one piece of puff pastry, big enough to wrap the banana. Put the banana in the middle, pour the brown sugar on top and distribute the raisins around. Wrap the banana and close the ends by pressing with your fingers. Varnish with the yolk. Pre-heat the oven to 200-210 ºC and bake till golden. 15-20 minutes is usually enough.
Serve with ice cream, whipped cream and caramel syrup. This time we had run out of vanilla ice cream...

Yummy!

(literalmente)
