Denim bag

I started working on this bag some weeks ago but I did not finish it till last weekend. The only thing missing was the strap, not a big work indeed. You know, one of those things that you leave apart because it is almost nothing and can be done anytime... something that you never do. At least that happens to me quite often. I tend to be occupied in the "big" things.


The idea was to make a medium size bag that you can use any time. It is big enough to carry your basic stuff, change purse, mobile phone, agenda, etc...  Not too big, not too small either.

It is quite versatile as you can carry it in different styles. It can be slung on your shoulder or across your body, as messenger style, or you can reduce by half the length of the strap just changing the position of the swivel hook. I personally like this length quite a lot. I find it really comfortable.


The body of the bag is made from denim fabric, in dark blue color, very resistant. For the flap I used an asian print, which I like a lot. The bag is lined with a cotton fabric, with a satin sheen, in a mustard color that coordinates perfectly with the asian print.
The bag closes with a magnetic snap and has an interior pocket.

Hacía ya unas cuantas semanas desde que empecé a trabajar en este bolso, pero no había conseguido terminarlo, por unas cosas o por otras. Este fin de semana me puse a ello y lo he terminado. En realidad, solamente me faltaba el asa, pero es de estas cosas que vas dejando de lado porque no es mucho, y justo por eso nunca terminas. A mí me pasa bastante, suelo dedicarme a las cosas "grandes".

La idea detrás de este bolso era hacer uno de tamaño medio, para usar en cualquier ocasión. Lo suficientemente grande para poder llevar todas las cosas básicas, monedero, móvil, llaves, etc... pero que no resultase enorme. Yo creo que lo he conseguido.

Además es muy versátil, ya que se puede llevar de varias formas distintas. Por un lado, se puede colgar del hombro, o llevar cruzado, en bandolera. Pero también se puede acortar el asa a la mitad, simplemente cambiando el mosquetón de lado. Personalmente me gusta mucho este largo de asa, lo encuentro muy cómodo.

El bolso está hecho con una tela vaquera, en azul oscuro, muy resistente. Para la solapa he usado una tela  de estampado asiático que me gusta mucho. El forro es una loneta, de las tipo gabardina, con un toque satinado, en un color mostaza que coordina a la perfección con la solapa.
Lleva un cierre magnético y un bolsillo interior.
