Pink Cherry Brooch

If the fabric selected a few days ago for this brooch was the cherry blossoms I couldn't help to use also my other favorite japanese print. The one with little pink flowers, so lovely.
The result is a beautiful brooch, a bit smaller than the previous one, which will be ideal to use on any cloth, a jacket, a coat, a pullover... It will look nice anywhere!

Si hace unos días la protagonista era la tela verde con florecitas rojas no podía dejar de lado a mi favorita, otra tela japonesa, pero en tonos grises y rosas. Todo un clásico ya en mis bolsos, verdad?
Como no podía faltar, he hecho un broche con base de madera y esta tela tan maravillosa. Este es un pelín más pequeño. Un detalle ideal para lucir en cualquier prenda, chaqueta, abrigo, jersey... quedará bien en cualquier sitio.

Red Cherry brooch

I am truly in love with this japanese fabric, you know that already, I guess. I have talked about it so many times... The texture, the colors, the print, are ideal for small creations as well, apart from bags, and I was looking forward to make another brooch using it.
When I found these wooden bases I knew they were made for each other. They are the perfect couple!

Mi pasión por esta tela ya la conocéis, supongo. He hablado tantas veces de ella ya... La textura, los colores, el estampado, me parecen ideales para hacer algo pequeño también, aparte de los bolsos, y llevaba tiempo queriendo hacer otro broche con ella.
Cuando encontré estas bases de madera supe que estaban hechos el uno para el otro. Es la combinación perfecta!

Different prints, different styles

Some of my travel jewelry rolls are now inside Santa's bag. There are different styles, as many as different prints used to make them. From Japanese fabric to pop or retro designs, from dark colors to brighter ones.

Algunos de mis joyeros de viaje están ya en la bolsa de Papá Noel, o de los Reyes Magos, esperando a ser depositados debajo de algún que otro árbol de Navidad. Los hay de todos los gustos y estilos, tantos como telas diferentes he usado para hacerlos. Desde diseños japoneses hasta otros más pop o retro, desde colores oscuros hasta otros más alegres y coloridos.

Blue cloud

Since the package has already reached its destination, it was pretty quick I must say, I can already show you the surprise that I included. Actually you could already see it in one of the photos in the previous post...

To embellish the strap a little bit I created this brooch, using felt. It is a small cloud, in two different tones of blue. It couldn't be more simple but I think that it adds that little something to the bag, the final touch. I like how it looks in the strap but you can also wear it separately, if you wish.

Como el paquete ya ha llegado a su destino, realmente rápido por cierto, ya os puedo enseñar la sorpresa que añadí y que no quise mostrar el otro día. En realidad se veía en una de las fotos... ;)


Para adornar el asa y añadirle un toque especial hice este pequeño broche, en forma de nube. Está hecho de fieltro, en dos tonos diferentes de azul. No puede ser más sencillo pero me parece que alegra mucho el conjunto. Me encanta como queda en el asa y lo hice pensando en usarlo así, como una nubecita flotando por encima de la casa, pero, si se prefiere, también se puede llevar por separado. Cuestión de gustos.

Kimono Black

A new print has joint the jewelry roll collection. It is a japanese cotton, a kimono fabric in black, grey and cream colors, with some touches of gold. This fabric is very soft and nice to the touch. It is a pity you cannot feel it through the photos.

For the interior I choose a cream cotton, with contrasting zippers in grey. So far I was using the same colors for both the exterior and interior of the pockets. I decided to add a little change and I am now including contrasting colors. So, this one has grey interior pockets. I love how it turned out!

Un nuevo estampado acaba de unirse a la colección de joyeros de viaje. Es una tela japonesa, una tela de kimono en color negro, gris y crema, con unos toques dorados. Esta tela tiene un tacto muy agradable, es muy suave y tiene una líneas en relieve que le dan un toque especial. Es una pena que no podáis tocar las fotos y notarlo.

Para el interior he elegido un algodón en color crema, con las cremalleras en tono gris para dar contraste. Hasta ahora siempre usaba el mismo color tanto para el exterior como para el interior de los bolsillos. Pero en los últimos joyeros que he hecho he cambiado un poquito y he añadido colores contrastados. Para éste, en particular, el interior de los bolsillos es gris marengo. Me encanta como ha quedado!

Little rose

This is my last little creation, a tiny rose brooch. It is made from some scraps of a very nice japanese fabric, one of the fabrics reserved for curvy clutches which, unfortunately, is already finished. I have just made the last clutch with this fabric, no more left... :(

This brooch can be used together with the clutch, to embellish the flap. Or, you can use it on its own, on a a jacket, pullover, dress... wherever you want.

Esta es la última de mis pequeñas creaciones, un mini broche. Lo he hecho con restos de una tela japonesa preciosa, que tengo reservada para mis curvy clutches y que, lamentablemente, ya se me ha acabado. Acabo de terminar el último clutch en esta tela, no me queda para más... :(

Este broche se puede usar bien con el bolso, adornando la solapa, o bien en una chaqueta, vestido, jersey... donde se quiera.

Keychain clutch

Lately I have been producing quite many wallets. I like them, they are funny and very rewarding projects.

I started with the mini wallet, then I moved into the "bichos" wallets, a couple of weeks ago I was working on some little houses and this week it was time for a couple of keychain clutches.

The shape is similar to the curvy clutch, in mini size.

I made two of them, using different fabrics. They are cute!

They are rather small, tiny little wallets, yet roomy enough to carry some cash, ID and credit cards, lip gloss and any other little essential that you may need.

The nice thing is that, due to its reduced size and the ring attached they can be used as a keychain, so you have a wallet and a keychain all in one.

I followed a Keyka Lou pattern but changed the closure system. Instead of using Velcro, as the pattern says, I preferred to insert a snap fastener. I think it closes much better. Anyway, I might give it a try also with the Velcro so that I can compare.

Ultimamente me ha dado por hacer monederos. Me gustan, son divertidos de hacer y muy agradecidos. 

Empecé con el mini wallet, después pasé a los monederos Bichos, hace un par de semanas hice unos cuantos monederos casitas y ahora le ha tocado el turno a dos monederos-llaveros.

La forma es parecida a la del curvy clutch, pero en miniatura.

He hecho dos de momento, usando diferentes estampados. Me gustan!

Son relativamente pequeños, mini monederitos, pero aún así tienen espacio suficiente para llevar algo de dinero, el DNI y las tarjetas de crédito, bálsamo o lápiz de labios y alguno otra cosa más.

Lo mejor es que debido a su reducido tamaño y a la anilla que lleva en un lateral se puede usar de llavero, con lo que tienes monedero y llavero todo en uno.

He seguido un patrón de Keyka Lou, pero he cambiado alguna cosa, como el cierre. En lugar de usar Velcro, como dice el patrón, he puesto un corchete. Creo que cierra mucho mejor y más seguro. En cualquier caso, puede que pruebe con el Velcro también para así poder comparar.

Ocean Breeze

Whether you live close or far away from the sea, summer is always associated to the beach, sea, ocean breeze... and this is what this clutch reminds me of. Aqua and turquoise colors, a waves print to cool down the summer hot days.

This is the last clutch I've been working on. I have some other projects in parallel, which I hope to show you soon. Besides, somebody is waiting for one of them...
Coming back to this bag... it can be used as a wristlet or inside your bag, for that extra organization always needed when wearing big bags.

I warned you already about my tendency to select turquoise and aqua colors. You see, I did it again!
Look at my nails... ;-)

Tanto si vives cerca o lejos del mar, el verano siempre se asocia a la playa, el mar, el océano y la brisa marina... y es todo eso lo que me recuerda este bolso. Será por los colores agua y turquesa, y por el estampado en forma de ondas, ideales para refrescar los días calurosos del verano.


Este es el último bolso de mano en el que he estado trabajando. Tengo otras cosas en marcha que espero poder enseñar pronto. Además de que hay alguien esperando para alguna de ellas...
Sobre este bolso... puede usarse como cartera de mano, gracias a la pulsera, o también es muy útil para esa organización extra que siempre hace falta cuando llevas bolsos grandes.

Ya os avisé de mi tendencia a escoger colores turquesa y agua. Otra vez he caído!

Patchwork pouch

During the past weeks I've been, mostly, making bags. So, when I got the request to make a patchwork pouch I was more than happy. I was missing this kind of activity, which means measuring, cutting and sewing little pieces of fabric to get something bigger, like this composition. It looks beautiful when you put it in front of a window, isn't it?

What else can I say about the aqua-turquoise color? I love it and have the tendency to choose fabrics in that color range. In the next few days you will see some more...

The request was coming from a friend, who is going on vacation in a couple of days. Therefore, I started working on it right away so I could have it ready before they go. I managed! and hand it over this pouch yesterday morning.

It is a bigger version of my Aqua patchwork pouch. I call it the big brother, although the official name is Maxi Aqua Patchwork. If anybody is interested you can order it through my shop, here.

Durante las últimas semanas no he hecho más que bolsos... y más bolsos. Así que, cuando recibí la petición de hacer un neceser en patchwork, no pude ponerme más contenta. La verdad es que echaba de menos este tipo de trabajo, que implica medir, cortar y coser pequeños trozos de tela hasta obtener una pieza mayor, como la composición de este neceser. Verdad que queda preciosa delante de la ventana? A mí me encanta cómo pasa la luz a través de los diferentes cuadritos.

Y qué decir sobre el turquesa? Tengo cierta tendencia últimamente hacia este color y siempre acabo escogiendo telas en esta paleta de colores. En uno o dos días podréis confirmar que tengo razón.

La petición de este neceser venía de unos amigos que se van de vacaciones en un par de días. Así que motivo doble para ponerme a ello inmediatamente y tenerlo listo antes de que se fuesen. Y lo he conseguido! lo entregué ayer mismo, a tiempo para que lo puedan estrenar en su próximo viaje.

Es la versión grande de mi neceser Aqua patchwork. Yo le llamo el hermano mayor, aunque oficialmente es el Maxi Aqua Patchwork. Si alguien está interesado, está disponible, bajo pedido, en mi tienda, aquí.

Silver brooch

After I made this other brooch I wanted to try some more combinations. This morning I've been cutting the pieces for a silver curvy clutch, like this one, and I decided to make a brooch using the same fabric.


I started with the light silver satin. It was calling for some other contrasting color so I took a piece of dark red satin fabric plus another silver one in a darker tone and mixed them.


It resulted in a beautiful brooch. I love the abstract form and how the different colors complement each other. I hope you like it also!

Its neutral colors and the satin sheen will add an elegant touch to your clothes.
I have already tested it on different clothes to make the photos.

Después de hacer este otro broche tenía ganas de probar otras combinaciones. Esta mañana he estado cortando las piezas para un bolso de mano como éste que enseñé hace un tiempo, en gris plateado, y he pensado que esta tela quedaría muy bien en un broche de este estilo.

He empezado con unas tiras del color gris plateado, pero clamaba a gritos algún otro color en contraste. Así que le he añadido unos pedacitos de un gris más oscuro y un toque de granate, también en tela de satén.

El resultado es un broche muy bonito. Me encanta la forma abstracta y la combinación de colores, que se complementan entre sí. Espero que también os guste!

Los tonos neutros y el toque brillante del satén le darán un aire elegante a cualquier prenda con la que lo lleves.

Yo ya he experimentado un rato poniéndolo en diferentes prendas para hacer las fotos :)

Second try: Travel Jewelry roll

This is the second time I prepare this post. And it is not because I have made this jewelry roll twice but due to the outage we've suffered in Blogger since yesterday. I carefully prepared my post yesterday evening and now, zas!, it is gone. Since I never give up, here it goes again!

This has been a custom order, where I was requested to make this travel jewelry roll, just using a different fabric. The selected fabric is definitely one of my favorites, a very elegant asian print. It goes well with everything!

As the previous roll, it has three zippered pockets, in different sizes, to be used for your treasuries. It also has a stuffed roll for your rings, where they will be perfectly protected.

I was tempted to try a different method for closing the roll. However, after thinking about several options I decided to use the ribbon method, which is quite versatile as it allows to close the roll easily, regardless how many things you put inside.

So, this is the final result. I love it!

Esta es la segunda vez que escribo este post. Y no porque haya hecho este joyero dos veces, no, qué va! es debido a la caída del servicio de Blogger que sufrimos ayer. Pues bien, preparé mi post cariñosamente ayer por la noche y hoy, zas!, todo había desaparecido. Blogger caído, blog inaccesible y, por supuesto, últimos post, tanto publicados como preparados, perdidos. Quizá se recuperen algún día, quién sabe. Como yo nunca me rindo, pues aquí lo escribo de nuevo. Que este joyero lo merece!

No me enrollo más y voy a lo que quería enseñar.

Este joyero ha sido un encargo, que consistía en hacer este joyero pero con otro estampado. La tela elegida ha sido una asiática, yo diría que una de mis preferidas. Ya la he usado antes, para el primer curvy clutch que hice hace un tiempo. Y es que queda bien para cualquier cosa!

El modelo es exactamente igual al anterior, con tres bolsillos, de diferentes tamaños, donde guardar todas tus joyas. Y, cómo no, un rulo relleno para los anillos, donde irán totalmente protegidos.

Estuve tentada en probar un tipo de cierre distinto. Pero después de darle vueltas a varias ideas decidí que lo mejor era volver a usar el cierre con cinta. La razón principal es que permite cerrar muy bien el joyero independientemente de cuántas cosas lleves dentro. Cualquier otro sistema que se me ha ocurrido no es tan flexible. Así que, por qué cambiar si éste funciona a la perfección?

A mi me encanta el resultado final!!

Recycling fabric scraps: key rings

This is another way I found to use fabric scraps. It is fast and easy and you will get really nice key rings. For this one I used denim and an asian print. I stitched it several times, going back and forth so it gets stiff enough. I really love the result!

Esta es otra forma que he encontrado para usar pequeños retales. Es muy rápido y muy fácil y el resultado es un bonito y original llavero. Para este en concreto he usado tela vaquera y un estampado asiático. Lo he cosido varias veces, de un lado a otro, para darle la suficiente rigidez. Me encanta como ha quedado!

Mini wallets collection

I have been playing with new combinations for the mini wallet. I got a custom order, asking for some wallets on the black and white leaves and some others in different patterns. I was free to choose so I enjoyed the process of selecting the fabrics. These are the combinations that I created. There is a bit of everything, stripes, flowers, abstract prints... Some of the fabrics may sound familiar to you, from previous products. Some others are completely new.


I was in a hurry this morning to leave the package at the Post Office and I forgot to take a photo of the linings, so I cannot show them.

He estado jugando con nuevas combinaciones para el mini monedero. Recibí un pedido para hacer unos cuantos monederos en el estampado original, en blanco y negro, mas otros cuantos en estampados variados. He tenido total libertad de elegir las combinaciones, así que he disfrutado el proceso de buscar, probar, descartar... volver a buscar, para finalmente decidirme por estos conjuntos. Hay un poco de todo, desde rayas, pasando por flores, hasta motivos abstractos. Algunas telas ya os sonarán de cosas que ya he enseñado. Otras son nuevas.

Tenía prisa esta mañana para ir a Correos a entregar el envío y se me ha pasado por completo hacer una foto de los interiores. Así que no os puedo mostrar los forros que he escogido. En otra ocasión.

Butterflies pouch

Green is the base color chosen for the last pouch I've been working on. I used a natural cotton, very soft, and a butterflies print for the exterior. The lining is made from a cotton print in the same color scheme.
I love these butterflies, they look so natural and seem to be painted by hand.

Sigo haciendo neceseres, o estuches, depende del uso que se les quiera dar. Esta vez le ha tocado el turno al color verde. Para este neceser he usado un algodón natural, muy suave, combinado con un estampado de mariposas, en tonos verdes, y algún que otro toque de ocre y azul. Para el forro he elegido un estampado muy pequeño en la misma gama de colores.

Me encantan estas mariposas, tienen un aspecto muy natural, como si estuviesen pintadas a mano.
